Since setting up Working Injury Management Claire has developed her expertise further by offering a mobile pregnancy massage service. After becoming pregnant herself and finding few therapists with the relevant qualifications Claire decided to complete her Diploma in pregnancy full body and abdominal massage. This is offered on a mobile basis to allow the Mum-to-be to be treated in the comfort of her own home.
Claire has six years experience of working in professional sport having worked at both academy and senior level for Stoke City FC and Burnley FC. She was an integral part of the physiotherapy team and here she was able to develop her knowledge of treating sports injuries and also advanced rehabilitation techniques. Claire used to travel with the team on match days providing last minute treatment, sports massage and pitch side first aid. Claire gained a wealth of experience at the top level and due to this helped to put together a documentary on knee ligament injuries in football. This was screened on Granada Reports and followed Claire and the rest of the physiotherapy team on the rehabilitation of Welsh international footballer Danny Coyne. The documentary included interviews with Claire herself and also star names such as Jamie Redknapp and Sir Alex Ferguson. Claire was also fortunate enough to work with the England B team when they played at Turf Moor.
After spending 6 years in professional sport Claire decided that it was time for a change in direction and decided to use her expertise in musculoskeletal injuries in private practise. In this role Claire worked in a private physiotherapy clinic in Manchester where she liaised with Occupational Health departments and managers. By utilising her skills, companies were able to return people to work in the quickest and safest time possible and reduce absenteeism in the work place. She attended a number of courses on ergonomics which enabled her to develop her skills as an ergonomic assessor and enabled her to provide services for businesses such as Tremco-Illbruck & The Trafford Centre.
